The story

The Assiteca Group started life in 1982 as an initiative of certain professionals in the insurance field and is today seen as one of the most important brokers in Italy.

From the outset, the Group developed a programme of growth based on regional penetration, achieved either through acquisitions or the setting up of local Companies, which has led Assiteca being able to boast of 16 offices throughout Italy, located in the main business and enterprise centres of the country. This presence allows Assiteca to provide Clients with advice and continuous attendance, supported by a complete range of customised services featuring professionalism in technique and commerce.

The Assiteca Group, fully controlled by its management, quickly became the only large operator independent from banking or industrial groups in the field of front line insurance broking. Its main goal is to be a cultural leader in the field, spreading awareness of insurance themes to all its counterparts and ensuring the highest standards of quality in terms of advice and insurance placement, technical analysis and management of corporate risk.

The partnership formed in 2001 with EOS RISQ Group, a leading international insurance broker, has further ensured the Group’s presence in more than 34 European Countries, with the certainty of an identical approach to the demands of Clients, identical innovative methods and timeliness in meeting the new challenges of a global marketplace.

In July 2000, Assiteca introduced 6sicuro, a Group Company dealing with personal lines.

6sicuro is the first online service in Italy making available to users an easy to use tool for comparing, selecting and purchasing automobile/motor cycle Liability Fire and Theft policies online.
In January 2002, 6sicuro received, Ebtrust certification ensuring complete impartiality in the quotation procedure.
In February 2002 Databank granted 6sicuro the “e-broker” award for the broker most active on the Net.
